發起全美抗議 要求CNN道歉

One of the comments posted on Youtube:

"... Cafferty's extreme racist remark against entire Chinese was followed by a laugh, and the very clip is allowed to be aired by CNN.
If a remotely similar comment was targeting African American, CNN wouldn't dare to allow it to air, or serious damage control is followed quickly. So why no sincere reactions yet from CNN?..."

　　【本報訊】全美合法移民協會11日譴責CNN時事論壇（"The Situation Room"）評論員Jack Cafferty在4月9日播出的該節目中惡意污蔑中傷華人。該協會負責人李冰表示，Cafferty公然宣稱華人還是和他們過去50年中一樣是一幫暴徒和惡棍 (原文如下: They (Chinese) are basically the same bunch goons and thugs they have been in the past fifty years."

　　李冰表示，這期節目已經發布到 YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=584D5fHB2H4）, 由互聯網向全世界傳播，截至目前點擊率已經過萬。

　　李冰激動地表示，Cafferty的侮辱性言辭引起合法移民協會（LIA) 的極大憤慨。該組織已在其網站發布致CNN的抗議信，要求CNN立即對Cafferty採取行動，並就此事向廣大華人道歉。LIA並在其網站發起征集網上簽名(www.legalimmigrant.org). 不到一天時間，已有6700多人聯署！ LIA 在全國發動其會員和其他華人組織向CNN提出抗議。全美各地華人紛紛向聯邦通訊委員會（FCC)提出控訴。灣區的KTSF26電視頻道已採訪LIA 代表, 並在4月11日晚間黃金時間播出訪談。

　　LIA 號召廣大華人團體，商會及各界人士團結起來，一致行動，譴責 CNN 評論員對華人的誣蔑和侮辱，並要求 CNN 向全體華人道歉。
